John Figueiredo is the founder & CEO of SISU Ventures, a value-add real estate platform based in the Sierra foothills of California. He co-founded SISU Extracts in 2017, growing it from zero to $101M ARR before its 2020 acquisition by Left Coast Ventures, which subsequently merged into The Parent Company (NYSE: GRAMF) with Shawn
"Jay-Z" Carter as Chief Visionary Officer. He also founded Plaito (2018), an AI tutor used by more than 1 million students across 180 countries.
Before founding SISU, John was Senior Engineering Manager at Teespring, where he led a global team building a $60M revenue stream. He held earlier engineering roles at Pivotal Labs, Goodshop, Byliner, and GoPago. A 2010 University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business graduate, he serves on the Lundquist Forty Under 40 Advisory Board.
Today he runs SISU Ventures, incubates new companies, and lives with his wife and sons in Northern California.
