John Burke is Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development, and President, Cloud Solutions Business at ARRIS Group, Inc. As part of the Cloud Solutions Business, he oversees a broad software portfolio enabling next-generation services, including multi-screen, targeted advertising, personalized content, and whole-home solutions.
Burke assumed his current role after the acquisition of Motorola Mobility’s Home business where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Converged Solutions business.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Motorola’s Broadband Home Solutions, the world’s leading supplier of digital entertainment devices and digital video networks for video service providers.
Burke joined Motorola in 2000 with the acquisition of General Instrument Corp., where he spent 15 years in a variety of leadership positions, including Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Solutions Business and Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Voice & Data CPE solutions.
Burke received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s degree in management from Saint Joseph’s University.
He is currently a member of Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and a former member of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) annual convention planning committee.
Burke also serves on two boards – Variety (a children’s charity) and Music Choice (provider of Digital Media Content).
