John Carpenter serves as Information Technology Director at Madrona Venture Group. He manages Madrona's internal technology infrastructure and also consults with Madrona's portfolio companies as they establish their infrastructure. Additionally, he participates in technical due diligence for potential investments, and often works closely
with entrepreneurs to test their technology and provide essential feedback. Prior to Madrona, Carpenter was a technology consultant for Wright Runstad & Company where he developed a leasing information system and managed the accounting systems. Prior to that, he was a security consultant and IT auditor for Honeywell. John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
