John Bax was most recently at RecycleBank, a start-up funded by Silicon Valley venture firm Kleiner Perkins. He also served as chief financial officer of Sentient.
Prior to RecycleBank and Sentient, he was vice president of planning and analysis for Wal-Mart Stores and chief financial officer of Walmart.com.
Bax spent eight years at Ernst & Young.
Bax is in charge of all things financial at LivingSocial, which expects to gross $100 million this year. If LivingSocial goes public, and we don't know of any plans that it will, Bax will be in the middle of it.
