Jochen Maaß is their Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He founded Hanse Ventures in 2010, together with the former CEO of Gruner + Jahr, Dr Bernd Kundrun, and the former CEO of Sony BMG, Rolf Schmidt-Holtz.
Jochen (born in 1982) has been a web-entrepreneur since he was 15. He is one of Germany’s pioneers in on-line marketing. In 2000, he founded
artaxo AG, which is now one of Germany’s leading search engine optimisation agencies. As a business angel, he has also already supported over 30 internet start-ups. Jochen studied Business IT. In 1999, he launched eBizzTalk, a networking event which has become a regular fixture of Hamburg’s internet industry.
