Jim Ryken, chief operating officer of BarnTools, has 25 years’ experience leading global engineering teams, and was plant director for Danfoss in Ames, Iowa, and vice president of manufacturing for seven plants in five countries. He has also served as the COO for Hansen Ag Solutions for two years, leading equipment and filter manufacturing in the
swine industry.
As COO, Jim oversees and guides the integration of BarnTools with leading pork integrators. He is passionate about quality, continuous improvement and optimizing the BarnTools solutions to help customers overcome real challenges with practical solutions that put production first and work as promised. His responsibilities include building the processes to drive the business to continuously improve BarnTools’ products and business system.
Jim has a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering from Iowa State University, and was raised on a diversified finishing operation in New Sharon, Iowa.
