In his previous role as vice president of R&D at American Standard, Mr. McHale and team partnered with the Gates Foundation in development of affordable, aspirational sanitation products for consumers in developing countries. Their simple, inexpensive SaTo™ latrine pan is now used by more than three million people worldwide.
Mr. McHale holds
B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from Temple University and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton. He has 38 international patents and applications to his credit and has authored 15 scientific papers.
