Jim Duffy is a senior executive who has helped build high growth companies over his professional career. Jim has a Big 4 accounting background, and extensive public and private equity-owned company experience in the business services, direct marketing, and healthcare segments.
Jim is currently a Partner with GCInfotech, which provides dedicated
technology solutions to small and medium sized businesses primarily in the Tri-State area. Most recently, Jim served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer for Oakleaf Global Holdings Inc., a $600M private equity-owned provider of waste and recycling logistics services to Fortune 500 companies.
Jim held EVP, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles at Vertrue Inc., a Nasdaq listed direct marketing company. During his 12-year tenure, revenues increased from $57 million to $758 million with 6M+ subscribers until the Company was sold to a private equity firm.
Previously, as EVP, Finance at Medco Containment Services Inc., Jim was a key member of the management team who guided the company through an exceptional growth period 38% annually (from $135 million to $6.1billion) over 9 years until the Company was sold to Merck.
Jim’s early career included serving as VP & Controller for Melville Corporation’s $150M subsidiary, Linens ‘N Things, which doubled in size during his tenure there. He was also a Senior Accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co. in New York City.
In addition to extensive board interaction at Oakleaf and Vertrue, Jim has held Audit Committee and board roles for 10 years with Capital Access Network, Inc., a provider of working capital to small and mid-size businesses. In the nonprofit arena, Jim has been Treasurer and board member for the New Canaan Community Foundation and MEALS on Wheels of New Canaan as well as a member of the Capital Campaign Executive Committee of Pace University. Currently, Jim is Treasurer and a Trustee of the New Canaan Library.
Jim holds a BBA in Accounting Practice from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. He obtained his CPA certification from the state of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In 2011 Jim was awarded the Pace University Lubin School of Business Alumni Achievement Award.
