Jerry L. Winchester serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Seventy Seven Energy. In 1983, Winchester graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University. His career quickly gained momentum as he transitioned to a variety of management and operational roles at Halliburton Company. In 1998, his natural leadership and
vision garnered industry recognition and presented the opportunity to join Boots & Coots International Well Control Inc. Winchester concluded his tenure as President and CEO after executing a successful acquisition with Halliburton.
In 2011, Chesapeake Energy Corporation appointed Winchester as the first President and CEO of Chesapeake Oilfield Services. Well-equipped with diverse industry experience, Winchester primed the subsidiary for a strategic spin-off. In 2014, he transitioned to President and CEO of Seventy Seven Energy. Tasked with identifying and cultivating new business and diversifying services, Winchester continues to position Seventy Seven Energy as the premier oilfield services company in the U.S.
As a native Oklahoman and former defensive tackle for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Winchester continues to support his local community by serving as a board member for the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and trustee to the OSU Foundation. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the International Association of Drilling Contractors. Winchester has been a member of the Seventy Seven Energy Board of Directors since July 2014.
