Jerry spent the first 20 years of his career in Monsanto’s healthcare and petrochemical businesses, including a period as Director of Corporate Venture Capital. He joined Advent Venture Partners in 1985 and served as a General Partner until his retirement at the end of 2008. He successfully developed Advent’s investment activities in the
healthcare and medical sectors and made investments in more than 30 private companies, many of which are now successful publicly quoted businesses. He has served as a non-executive director of a number of companies including Dura Pharmaceuticals Inc, Oxford Glycosciences plc, Orthofix International NV, Professional Staff plc and Vanguard Medica Group plc.
He continues his involvement with the Life Sciences team as Senior Advisor.
