Jerome is a biomedical research engineer with 10 years’ experience in the automotive, aerospace and biomedical industries. Most of his work focuses on prototyping in mechatronics and robotics with specializations in IoT, software for hardware, computer aided design/manufacturing and multi-physics simulation. His applied research for the last
five years has been concentrated on applying novel hardware technologies to the biomedical domain. Recently, Jerome has leveraged computational techniques to bridge the gap between hardware and digital biomarker identification. Some of this work includes coordinating a clinical trial that utilizes an array of wearable devices to track subject biometrics, co-developing an IoT platform for data acquisition from traditional and next generation clinical equipment and an imaging study that uses state of the art hardware and computer vision algorithms to shed light on potential therapeutic trajectories. Jerome has been instrumental in the technical goals achieved by OOVA to date. He has played a pivotal role in envisioning the workflow of using a smartphone app to interpret the results from OOVA’s lateral flow assay. He has also been the primary contact working with the consultants that helped build our prototype lateral flow assay and app. Jerome is someone who gets work done. No matter what challenge or problem arises, he is able to find a quick and solid solution. It is critical for a founding team to have someone who is not only tech savvy but is also dependable. Jerome excels in both.
