Jeff is the Founder & Principle of The Ruppert Co., LLC (RCo.).
RCo. is a Columbus-based general practice of law that focuses on campaign finance and election law, criminal defense, civil
litigation, start-up, business and non-profit counseling, legislation, regulation and public policy.
Before forming RCo., Jeff served four years as Deputy Legal Counsel and Operations Advisor to Ohio Governor Ted Strickland.
Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, Jeff maintained a general practice of law in the Cincinnati-Dayton area as a litigator working in all levels of courts, both state and federal.
Early in his professional career, Jeff served as Ohio Campaign Scheduler to Vice President Al Gore, and as a legislative aide to United States Senator John Glenn. Jeff has also served in numerous capacities – legal and non-legal – on national, state and local campaigns.
Jeff is also the Founder & Principle of High Mountain Ventures, LLC, an investment fund and services provider dedicated to supporting disruptive, inevitable, efficient and sustainable technologies and processes.
In October 2013, Jeff led four of his colleagues and friends to found demCROWD and demCROWD.com, a user-friendly and regulation complaint crowdfunding platform for political campaigns, PACs, 527 political organizations and 501c organizations engaging in political advocacy. demCROWD introduces a new financing tool introduced that lowers barriers to effective supporter engagement; increases campaign transparency and trust; and harnesses the power of existing Progressive social networks.
