Jeff is a Co-founder and Chief Safety Officer at k-ID.
He is a senior leader with 20 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Government Outreach and Investigations at Meta (Facebook) for 13.5 years and Google for 6 years, during their respective hyper-growth stages. Recognised for successfully hiring strong org leaders, building and managing
high-performing teams, developing government relationships, driving impactful solutions to combat online abuse and delicately balancing community safety and user privacy.
At Facebook, he was global security employee number five and created the eCrime Investigations and Intelligence function and was also the first non-business focused employee based in Asia when he relocated to Singapore in 2011. In his last role at Meta as Head of Trust & Safety APAC, Jeff was responsible for managing law enforcement and security relationships, strategy and project management of Facebook safety initiatives, Legal Compliance Ops and coordinating enforcement responses with security agencies to maintain a trusted and safe platform.
Prior to Meta, Jeff was a Trust & Safety Senior Strategist at Google working to detect, mitigate and investigate large scale abuses. Highlights include launching Google Checkout and the initial iteration of the Google SafeBrowsing team. Jeff has spent considerable time working internationally, having set up and managed risk operation teams for Google in India, Ireland, and Poland.
Jeff serves as a community leader in Singapore, serving as a District Councillor for the North West Community Development Council and was a former Council Member on the National Crime Prevention Council of Singapore.
