Jeff Hansen was a former Vice President of Environmental Sustainability at Steel Dynamics, Jeff’s Human Resources role is to monitor, enhance, and manage a variety of employee relations and development activities, such as SDI’s employee compensation, benefits, medical plans, and employee training programs. In his Safety role, Jeff leads, develops,
implements, and maintains safety programs and policies throughout Steel Dynamics.
Jeff came to Steel Dynamics in 1997 and has worked in a variety of engineering, supervision, and management functions. Prior to his current role, Jeff was the Plant Manager of Mesabi Nugget, leading all aspects of the construction, start-up, and operation in Minnesota. Jeff also had significant involvement in the Iron Dynamics facility in Butler, Indiana.
Jeff holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer.
