JB Woodruff currently serves as the Program Director of UpTech and as the Commercialization Director of the Northern Kentucky office of the Kentucky Innovation Network. He first became affiliated with UpTech as a mentor for UpTech 2. During UpTech 3, he was recruited to become the program’s first entrepreneur-in-residence to lead the Lean Startup
education and one-on-one company support.
A little bit of history on JB. He attended Penn State where he received his bachelors of science in Information Sciences and Technology. He joined Accenture upon graduating where he worked as a SAP consultant for companies including Microsoft, Dow Chemical and Exxon Mobil. In 2009, he joined Centric Consulting in Cincinnati to stay closer to home. Leaving Centric in 2012, he began startup journey as an entrepreneur-in-residence with the 88mph accelerator in Nairobi, Kenya, and Cape Town, South Africa. JB founded JB Woodruff Design in 2009, and, in 2013, he helped launch two Cincinnati startups, Araytha and CampFinder.co. His myriad talents include passions for marketing, graphic design, technology consulting, photography, and travel.
