Jayme Joyce has been a key figure on several documentaries including the film, Finding Vivian Maier, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2015’s documentary category.
Currently, she's making a documentary film about the restorative justice movement in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. Behind the scenes she's employing young men
at risk from gun violence to help her tell this story.
In 2018, Jayme is launching a new social enterprise video production company, Local Legend Films in partnership with Free Spirit Media as the Fiscal Sponsor of the company and the film.
Previously, Jayme co-owned and operated the video production company, Joone Studios, for 9 years. In 2014, she received the NAWBO Young Entrepreneur Award from the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Jayme served on the board of the Chicago chapter of Women in Film from 2007 - 2011 and remained on their advisory board. For seven years she worked on staff during the Sundance Film Festival and she has also served as a Juror for the Chicago International Film Festival.
As an art school graduate turned marketer and business woman, Jayme has a very outside the box perspective and shares her expertise freely via her company's website and blog.
