Jay Wolcott is a proven entrepreneur and global business executive who thrives on innovation and consumer experiences. As the Co-Founder and CEO, he is setting the direction for Knowbl to accelerate through the early stages of company growth while positioning the company for scalable market penetration.
In 2009, Wolcott launched his first SaaS
company, Digital Roots, with a clear vision to provide the most advanced social media engagement and insights platform with an innovative approach to leverage NLU and Deep Learning. Digital Roots grew into a multinational firm that supports some of the world’s largest brands and the most progressive social media operations. This strong growth was recognized by Inc. 5000’s list of fastest-growing private companies in America, where Digital Roots was ranked #567. The company has also been recognized by Crains as one of Detroit’s “Coolest Places to Work” in 2014, The Detroit Free Press for the 2015 Automotive Leadership Award for Marketing and Advertising, and one of Michigan’s Top 50 companies to watch in 2015.
In 2017, Interactions, the world's largest stand-alone AI company, acquired Digital Roots to establish its textual processing capabilities and introduce its social media platform into its portfolio of products. Wolcott was their Head of Digital, helping build their next-generation platform for omni-channel virtual assistants. As a Senior Executive of the Interactions Leadership team, Wolcott moved into a role driving sales and customer success with some of the world's largest brands as their VP of Strategic Accounts, reporting to their CEO until 2020.
Wolcott also started and sold Seed Staffing, and Verego. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Wolcott spent his early career with General Motors, becoming one of the company’s youngest global executives when only in his 20s. Wolcott was also ranked by DBUSINESS Magazine “30 in Their 30s,” a list of Detroit’s top 30 executives in their thirties. He also sits on the board of his alma mater, Western Michigan University's Executive Council.
Wolcott is married and the father of four children, residing in Southeast Michigan.
