Jay Pujara is a postdoctoral researcher in the Computer Science department of the Jack Baskin School of Engineering at UC Santa Cruz. Previously, he completed his PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Maryland, College Park and holds MS and BS degrees in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon
University. His research interests include scalable machine learning, statistical relational learning, knowledge graph construction, entity resolution, and online and active inference. Jay has won three best paper awards, organized the AKBC workshop, had his research featured in AI Magazine, and taught a graduate-level Data Mining course. Jay has also applied his research in machine learning projects at Google, LinkedIn, and Yahoo!, and holds three patents.
