Jared Keaton started his career at Alliance Center of Education in 1998, as a member of the Center’s Accounting Team. Being recognized as a mission-first leader, Jared was quickly promoted and has led the organization through several growth cycles as Controller, Assistant Executive Director, and Chief Operating Officer. Today, as the Chief
Executive Officer, Jared continues to elevate the organization’s mission of helping children from birth to high school graduation access quality educational services. All nine of organization’s Early Childhood Education centers hold a 5-Star Childcare Center License from the State of North Carolina, which is just one reason AC4Ed has become Charlotte’s preferred provider of Early Childhood Education services. Jared has also refined year-round services provided for K-12th grade students, promoting student success in school. Organizational data concludes that students enrolled these highquality Out of School Time programs at AC4Ed graduate from high school on-time and prepared for their choice of college or career. Over the next several years, Jared will lead AC4Ed in implementing its newly adopted strategic plan. This plan focuses on the expansion of the three-year-old early childhood education program, enhancing Out of School Time afterschool programs, and expanding the service area footprint of the organization to provide these critical services to more children. Prior to joining Alliance Center of Education, Jared worked as a Trust Accountant at Wachovia Bank. Jared holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from Winston-Salem State University.
