Janine Getler is a multi-talented woman whose career in law extends to cover real estate law as well. In June 2009, Janine founded Getler, Gomes & Sutton, PC, where she's worked as the Principal since, representing high-rise construction projects and New York Developers and Lenders in Suffern, New York. Janine began practicing law in 1991,
and in the more than two decades since she's built out a unique background with well-rounded experience that provides her with the industry knowledge and experience that sets Getler, Gomes & Sutton, PC apart.
Janine Getler received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont, graduating in 1983. In 1987, Janine decided to go back to school to pursue her law degree while working at Merryl Lynch as a legal assistant. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1990, where she was honored with the Jurisprudence Awards for Legal Writing I and II. Since obtaining her JD, Janine has gone on to gain a wealth of experience in real estate law, which led to her creating Getler, Gomes & Sutton PC. Today, she continues to work as the Principal of the law firm, and offers services ranging from construction law to residential real estate.
Outside of her career as an attorney, Janine Getler is a passionate philanthropist who is dedicated to helping those in need. She's served on a number of different boards throughout her philanthropic career, and she is excited to continue working towards making a difference. She is passionate about Habitat For Humanity of Bergen County, Inc., and has remained on the board of directors since first joining in 1994. In addition to her work on the board, Janine and her firm also provide pro bono work as necessary. Additionally, she is an advisory board member of SB One Bank. Janine's work in both real estate law and philanthropy has set her apart as an expert within her industry.
