Dr. Jane Suiter is the director of the Institute for Future Media and Journalism (FuJo) and an associate professor in the School of Communications at Dublin City University. She is an expert on communication, deliberation, and participation.
Jane is currently principal investigator on a number of initiatives, including an H2020 project called
Provenance, which uses blockchain to track disinformation online and across social channels; a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network project called Jolt, which is harnessing technology for journalism; and the Reuters Digital News Report for Ireland. She is a co-principal investigator on the Irish Citizen Assembly Project and a member of the ECPR standing group on democratic innovations and has just finished as co-principal investigator on an EPA project on climate change coverage in Irish media.
Jane is also a communications director of a European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) project on populist political communication with an emphasis on media and social media, and a Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute at Oxford University.
