Shaw has served as a member of our Board since June 2014. Shaw served as a member of the board of directors of McKesson Corporation from 1992 to 2014.
She also served on the board of directors of Intel Corporation from 1993 to 2012, including as its non-executive Chairman of the board from 2009 to 2012.
From 1998 to 2005, Shaw served as
the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aerogen, Inc., a company specializing in the development of products for improving respiratory therapy.
Shaw joined the ALZA Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company that focused on novel ways of delivering medications to the body, as a research scientist in 1970; she remained with the company for 24 years, serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1987 to 1994.
She is also a member of the boards of directors of several private and non-profit entities.
