Jamie Propp is the proud father of two daughters - a teenager and a newborn. A third generation New Yorker, Jamie was born into a family of businesspeople who influenced his entrepreneurial pursuits. While Jamie’s love of music and audio fueled a fascination with technology in his teenage years, his innate knack for all things tech is something
inherited from earlier generations.
Jamie’s grandfather, Morris Propp, in the 1920's was an early innovator of Christmas tree lighting. Before electric lights, people lit candles on their trees, commonly resulting in tragic holiday fires. Morris Propp’s invention saved lives - his patented strands of lights could be safely connected through parallel wiring so that when one light burned out the remaining lights would stay lit.
Starting TechDad has allowed Jamie to combine his three main passions: problem-solving, helping people, and working with cutting-edge technologies.
