James O’Callaghan joined Growth Catalyst Partners in July 2017 after having spent over ten years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining GCP, James spent three years with Emil Capital Partners (“ECP”), a growth-stage private equity firm focused on minority investments in the retail, consumer and media sectors. During his time at
ECP, James worked across the ECP portfolio and was involved in several new transactions including investments in The Data Council and Vintage Italia, as well as active portfolio management responsibilities for several portfolio investments.
In addition to his role at ECP, Mr. O’Callaghan served as the Chief Financial Officer at portfolio company Cheribundi, a high-growth health & wellness beverage manufacturer and brand. During his time as CFO, James was responsible for financial functions, corporate development, and ecommerce initiatives. Mr. O’Callaghan worked closely with the CEO of Cheribundi to help scale the brand before leaving to join Growth Catalyst Partners.
