Prior to becoming Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer for CST Brands, Inc., James served as Vice President of Retail Systems for Valero Retail Holdings, Inc. since 2010. With over 23 years at Valero, James had several areas of responsibility. He began working for the company as a Marketing Analyst and worked in the Marketing
department for 10 years before joining the Information Services Department in 1999. James initially focused on point-of-sale and back office software integration and has led many major integration projects for the Information Services Department. James received a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University, Lubbock and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
