Jim is Managing Director of Tyree Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investments in promising, underperforming businesses in the Midwest. Prior to founding Tyree Capital Partners in 2012, Jim had a distinguished 15 year career at Abbott Laboratories, where he held senior executive roles in the Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, and
International divisions and served as President of Abbott Biotechnology Ventures. Before his career at Abbott, Jim held executive positions at Triangle Pharmaceuticals, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Pfizer. Jim is currently a director of ChemoCentryx, SonarMed, and iBIO, and serves on the advisory boards of the Polsky Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago and the Kellogg Center for Biotechnology at Northwestern University.
