Jim Masterson is the Founder & CEO of Xstream Infection Control. Jim Masterson earned a bachelor's degree in Economics, History, and Philosophy from Wheeling University in 1967. His MBA studies were completed at George Washington University and the IBM Executive Management School. He worked for IBM in a variety of sales, management, and
engineering roles, including the NASA/Apollo Project, and was the Director of Marketing and Telecommunications for IBM America/Far East. He founded or led twelve companies through his venture capital firm, including Outdoor World, which sold for $50 million in 1988. Mr. Masterson has worked in the medical field since he was a child. His father was a well-known orthopedic surgeon, and his mother was a registered nurse. He founded XSTREAM in 2011 after nearly dying from a surgical site infection at a Northern Virginia magnet hospital.
