MedialifTV, LLC was founded by Jim Carr, a lifetime General Contractor and consummate entrepreneur. The idea of developing an outdoor television enclosure for home-use is the result of moving a TV outdoors for Super Bowl parties and then moving the TV back indoors at the end of the evening. Like most people, the Carrs spend a great deal of time in
the backyard, entertaining guests or just relaxing while preparing a BBQ dinner. Instead of moving a TV to and from the outdoors, Jim’s wife implored her husband to come up with a solution that would allow them to have a TV in their outdoor entertainment area that would “pop-up” from behind a wall for enjoying games and more and then “retract” out-of-sight when not in use. Jim dutifully designed and built a waterproof enclosure housing a large flat screen TV that rises from behind his outdoor kitchen at the push of a button. This initial idea serves as the basic concept for medialifTV® products.
