James Bain currently serves as the Vice President of Revenue at SamCart and an Advisor to CollBox, Sunsa Homes, and Voyager Campervans. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations at ParkMobile, a mobile payments company in parking, where he focuses on emerging technologies and business lines in the mobility space.
Prior to joining ParkMobile, James served as Chief Operating Office of Parking Panda, the leader in event parking reservations. James oversaw the growth and development of the company’s core business, lead the launch of new business lines, and ultimately negotiated the sale of Parking Panda to competitor SpotHero. In 2015 he was named one of the inaugural “40 under 40 in Parking” by the National Parking Association. James also worked at Groupon as a City Manager and Senior Manager in Sales Operations. Outside of parking, James serves on the board of StartOut, a national non-profit, and on the advisory boards of several tech startups.
James holds a BA from New York University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He lives in Austin where he spends as much time outside as possible.
