Jake Ryan brings professional software engineering experience to the world of crypto investing. Jake is the founder and chief investment officer at TRADECRAFT Capital, a macro-thematic driven crypto fund focused on the next long-wave economic cycle.
He's also the author of 'Crypto Investing in the Age of Autonomy', published by
John Wiley & Sons, which is a US News & World Report Top 7 Book on Crypto and DeFi. His book is being used as the textbook for the MBA Business Analytics Program at Pepperdine University, Course PGBS 698.12: Decentralized Digital Assets and Analytics.
In addition, Jake has been the keynote speaker at top AI conferences and is a frequent speaker on the crypto circuit and at investor conferences including HedgeWeek. He's also a contributor at Bloomberg Radio, Newsweek, and Harvard Business Review (HBR). He is a special contributor to the Digital Assets Council for Financial Professionals (DACFP) and a speaker at the DACFP Vision Conference.
Jake is also an advisor to several venture-backed startups as well as two VC accelerators and a private equity firm. Three exits, (all medium-sized.) Prior to TRADECRAFT, he ran a specialized software engineering firm with clients like American Express and FOX Sports.
Jake earned a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in AI from the University of Texas at Austin. He is the first author of published work, applying artificial intelligence to cybersecurity, “Intrusion Detection with Neural Networks”, which has 750+ Google Scholar Citations. He built one of the very first neural networks applied to intrusion detection.
