Jake is a co-founder of Power and Data Management, PDM, which provides utility-grade products--transformers and circuit breakers--to data centers, utilities, and the oil & gas industries. began in 2021. Prior to this, he founded DCBlox in January 2014. Prior to that Mr. Ring worked for GE, first as Chief Marketing Officer for GE Energy
Management, then as GM of the Structured Solutions business of turnkey containerized power systems, a GE Critical Power business line he started with HP. Before GE, Mr. Ring worked in private equity for 9 years managing portfolio companies for Invemed Associates, American Capital Strategies, and Castle Island Partners, bringing three businesses successfully to sale. Prior to that, Mr. Ring worked for Emerson Electric Co., where he was the head of Product Management and Marketing for Liebert Corp., overseeing the management of precision HVAC, Power, and Monitoring product groups. He has an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Ring will coordinate various funding activities, recruit the early and critical hires for the company, handle the initial sales & marketing functions, build out the company's business lines, and work with the early hires to implement the company's operating processes and systems for data center management.
