Jake Bright works in tech, VC, and mobility. He is the Director of Communications and Investor Relations at ECM PCB Stator Technology—a U.S. startup that designs optimized electric motors for multiple applications. He is also a Venture Partner at Fast Forward, an Africa focused venture studio and seed-fund.
Bright’s experience spans engagements
in government, finance, academia, startups, and business media. He was a speechwriter in Washington, DC and a bank officer on Wall Street. Bright was also a contributing writer and advisor at TechCrunch, where he spearheaded consistent Africa coverage and co-produced the first Startup Battlefield competitions in Africa. His first book, The Next Africa, won the Axiom Best Business Book award for International Business and Globalization.
A lifelong motorcyclist, Bright has written and advised on the future of high performance motorsport and the electrification of motorcycles. He is an avid fan of music and outdoor sports and competes recreationally in running, open water swimming, and alpine skiing.
