Dr. Jack Taylor MD FACS serves as BITS Chief Medical Information Officer. As BITS CMIO, Dr. Taylor has championed and led our support to VA-DOD information sharing including the integrated Electronic Health Record, the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, and the MHS Theater Medical Information Program – Joint. Dr. Taylor co-chairs the
OSEHRA Architecture Work Group and is a frequent presenter to interagency events, and HIMSS.
Dr. Taylor is a retired Navy Veteran with over thirty years of service and experience in healthcare delivery, health information management, and health information sharing in the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs and private healthcare settings. He possesses recognized expertise in project and program management, health information requirements, HIT data standardization, clinical informatics and interagency strategy in Federal HIT.
