Ilya has been a tinkerer in the insurance industry for over 14 years. He started his career as a captive insurance agent, becoming a principal and opening two Allstate offices in central Ohio. From the beginning, he has focused on solving the complexity in how insurance is bought, managed, and understood.
Since then, Ilya has launched multiple
ventures centered on insurtech innovation, consistently building technology designed to simplify and modernize the commercial insurance ecosystem. He currently serves as the day-to-day CEO of Bold Penguin, a commercial insurance agent portal dedicated to making business insurance simpler for customers, agents, and carriers.
Today, Ilya also brings that same builder’s mindset to Goodwin, where he is focused on applying fintech infrastructure and embedded technology to modernize payments and workflows within charter aviation.
