Idil leads Portland’s Disputes Unit, specialising in reputation and crisis management. She joined Portland in 2010 after leading the Conservative Party’s regional press operation through the 2010 General Election campaign, working closely with the Party’s leadership and political teams.
Before moving to London in 2007, Idil spent 11 years in
Washington, DC working in communications and politics. Most recently, she was a Managing Director of the DC-based strategic communications firm CLS and worked for a range of corporate and foreign government clients.
Idil has worked on Capitol Hill as Press Secretary for Congressman Phil English and has provided strategic communications advice for various interests in Washington, DC.
