Ian is an entrepreneur and a vastly experienced enterprise technology executive, having worked in various consulting and in-house roles within the sector over the last 20 years. Before founding Gospel Technology in 2016, Ian was the founder and CTO of Butterfly Software, a data analytics and migration software company acquired by IBM in September
2012. After which he took on a worldwide Vice President of Product Management role for IBM.
Prior to Butterfly, Ian was involved in solving some of the largest and most complex infrastructure and data problems in enterprise business. He built HSBC’s enterprise infrastructure and worked for the likes of Dell, Deutsche Bank and Lloyds TSB Group.
While gaining a wealth of experience working in enterprise business, Ian noticed a clear disconnect between how enterprise businesses use their data and how they collaborate. He founded Gospel Technology to help solve this issue and enforce the fundamentals of ethics in business through the ethical use of data.
Ian holds a BSc Geology from University of Sheffield
