Hernan Lopez is the Co-Founder of Danvas, an organization that designs specialized museum-quality LED displays for digital artwork. Having raised over $7 million in seed funding, Danvas is already empowering artists to cultivate their craft and collectors to purchase new types of art by bringing digital art into the real world.
Lopez was
previously the Founder and CEO of Wondery, the internationally acclaimed podcast production company known for its immersive storytelling. Under Hernan’s leadership, Wondery produced hit shows such as Gladiator, Hollywood & Crime, Business Wars, Dirty John, The Shrink Next Door, and Joe Exotic. As of 2022, 31 of Wondery’s shows have reached #1 on Apple Podcasts and the company was behind 10 of Podtrac’s Top 20 New Shows of 2020. 19 of Wondery’s podcasts have been developed for TV adaptations. Hernan executive produced a handful of these shows, including WeCrashed, Dr. Death, and Joe vs. Carole.
Wondery was acquired by Amazon in 2021.
Hernan Lopez is also the Founder and Chairperson of the Hernan Lopez Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping increase diversity in leadership. Hernan’s passion for paving the way for young entrepreneurs is enacted in the Foundation’s mission to offer grants, education, and mentorship to individuals from underrepresented communities.
Lopez has been a featured speaker at The INMA World Congress, The Cannes Lions International Festival Of Creativity, Promax, SXSW, Natpe, CES, the Festival Of Media, WSJ Tech Live, and numerous investor conferences worldwide. His articles about advertising and media have been published by Ad Age and Fast Company. He is a founding member and Governor of The Podcast Academy, previously served on the board of GLAAD, and currently serves on the board of the Latino Donor Collaborative.
Hernan moved to Miami from his home country, Argentina, in 1997, and obtained an MBA from the University of Miami. Today he lives in Los Angeles with his family
