Herman Verrelst is an experienced entrepreneur and business manager, with a specific background in the set up and management of high-tech companies and university spin-offs.
In the past, he has been CEO, director and business unit manager in a number of software/bioinformatics based ventures, in the areas of gene expression based cancer
biomarkers, medical imaging and pre-operative planning software and financial crime and compliance solutions.
He received a Master's Degree in Engineering from the K.U.Leuven in 1996 and spent 4 years as a researcher and project coordinator at the same university focusing on artificial intelligence and various applications of advanced data analytics.
