His franchise system is comprised of 175+ engineers and operational staff at locations
throughout Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso.

Large-scale civil engineering engagements in the billion-dollar range under Herb’s guidance include the Grand Parkway in Houston, the Houston Galveston Navigation Channel 45-Foot project, and the LBJ Managed Lanes project in Dallas. Other major projects include the new NFL Cowboy Stadium in Dallas, the Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi and the City of Austin Greater Waste water program.

Committed to making a positive difference and recognizing individuals who have impacted his life, in 2009 he established the Sarah L and Jessie Johnson Endowed Scholarship program at Mississippi State University. In 2018 he established the Dr. Oswald Rendon-Herrero Diversity Professorship.
