Before salsa outsold ketchup, before Spanish language TV and radio dominated the ratings across the country, and long before Ugly Bettyâ„¢, there was Hector OrcÃ. Along with his wife and business partner Norma, Hector dreamed of a time when Latinos would be marketed to with the same quality, depth and dignity as the general market.
Before
making the dream a reality by founding OrcÃ, Hector was President CEO of DDB Mexico. He has been recognized as a community and industry leader, and serves on the boards of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA), and the New America Alliance. Hector holds an M.A. in Economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, as well as a B.A. in International Relations from USC. Hector, a native of Sonora, Mexico, is widely a respected expert on Latino marketing and culture. He has been featured on CNN, NPR, in the New York Times, and the PBS Special "Brown Is The New Green".
