After discovering photography over 10 years ago, Heather Zinger, a Chicagoland native, knew this was her calling. However, having an active interest in a wide range of topics, she pursued a BA in French Language and Literature. This inspired her to live, study and photograph in France for two years. Returning to the States, she delved into
software and restaurant management before returning to photography. Prompted to move to Portland in the pursuit of learning new things, she enrolled in the Intermedia BFA program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art to study photography and explore other mediums. Portland is the perfect city for her as it shares many similarities with France such as the passion for good food, everyday creativity and an active lifestyle.
