Hazel Manzano, MD is the VP of Clinical Innovation for Village MD. Prior to joining Village MD, she was a Board Member of Q-Centrix, Chief Medical Officer of Adreima, and Private Equity Advisor to Sterling Partners. Earlier, she was Vice President and Medical Director at Accretive Health, now known as R1. During her tenure at Accretive, she
co-founded the Physician Advisory Services division, which provided concurrent and retrospective medical necessity review and denials management services. She also was responsible for designing innovative population health management strategies and developing analytic and assessment tools that facilitate the coordination of care. Prior to joining Accretive, Hazel was a practicing physician and partner at a multi-specialty private practice with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a Clinical Instructor with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Hazel received her Doctorate of Medicine degree from Northwestern University and her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Duke University.
