Dr. Hash Pakbaz is an experienced executive with a track record of managing sizeable and rapidly growing product lines as well as launching new technology companies and divisions that achieve multi-million dollar revenue streams.
Prior to SBA Materials, as global product management director at Knowles Electronics, Pakbaz was responsible for
Silicon MEMS Microphone (SisonicTM) product line P&L addressing consumer (all major smart phone, tablet and laptop manufacturers) and industrial markets.
During his tenure at Knowles, Pakbaz oversaw rapid unit shipment growth (3x over 3 years), maintaining dominant market share (over 80%) at all major OEMs.
Before joining Knowles, he was vice president of business development at Cambrios Technologies, a venture backed company, where he led the company's launch of ClearOhmTM transparent conductive coatings for touch screen and display applications.
Prior to Cambrios, Pakbaz was the vice president of business development at Symmorphix, a venture backed spin out from Applied Materials developing advanced production scale PVD equipment, which was successfully acquired by a private equity group.
Pakbaz was also a founding member, and director of product development of the OLED business unit at Osram Opto Semiconductors (a Siemens company) and led the successful launch of world's first polymer based OLED displays for consumer applications.
Dr. Pakbaz received his Ph.D. from UC, Santa Barbara in physics under the direction of Prof. A.J. Heeger (winner of Chemistry Nobel Prize, 2000).
