Harris Chan holds concurrent appointments as the Chief Digital Officer and Chief Technology Officer at ST Engineering, a global technology, defence and engineering group specialising in the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors.
He currently leads ST Engineering’s digitalisation efforts, focusing on the development of deep and
core digital technologies to transform the Group into a data-driven and digital organisation. In addition, he plays a lead role in shaping the organisation’s R&D portfolio and is responsible for driving its IP strategy. Harris also chairs the Group’s Innovation Task Force, looking at ways to drive innovation within the company.
Prior to ST Engineering, Harris held various appointments in the Singapore Navy, Ministry of Defence and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). Holding the rank of Rear Admiral, Harris’ last appointment with the SAF was Future Systems & Technology Architect, where he spearheaded the development of game-changing concepts and future capabilities for the SAF.
