Hanme has worked in various computer-vision-related fields including surveillance cameras, sensor-guided robots, automatic number plate recognition and visual SLAM. His PhD in the Robot Vision Group at Imperial College London, was focused on developing visual SLAM systems with an event camera. He was selected as one of the UK winners and the
European champion of the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship 2014 and, with his colleagues, received the best industry paper award at the British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) 2014 and best paper award at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) 2016.
