Hanlin (Harry) Gao, M.D., Ph.D., D.A.B.M.G., F.A.C.M.G. is a founder of our genetic testing business, is our Lab Director and Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Gao’s prior experience includes service as Lab Director of both the DNA Sequencing Core Laboratory and Clinical Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory at City of Hope from 2004 until 2013. Dr. Gao
completed his clinical molecular genetics training fellowship and post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 2004 prior to joining City of Hope. Dr. Gao received an M.S. in Immunology and an M.D. from Peking University and Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities in China in 1993 and 1990, respectively, as well as a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology and Medical Genetics from The Ohio State University in 2001. Dr. Gao is board certified in clinical molecular genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics, is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics and serves as a team leader for laboratory inspections by CAP.
