Han Markslag is IT Chapter Lead at ING, leading a chapter in the area of front-end technology. Han is passionate about software development with more than 20 years’ experience as software engineer. He has a history in Java back-end development which has shifted to front-end development with the introduction of modern JavaScript frameworks like
AngularJS and React. Currently his focus is on (native) web component technology. Han organises the international ING front-end community with more than 500 ING front-end engineers and he trains freshly started Chapter Leads by sharing practices from the trenches. In his free time, he experiments with new technology and binge watches series on Netflix.
