Haden Kirkpatrick is an accomplished insurance and financial services executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience, including over a decade in the insurance sector. Most recently, he served as vice president of strategy, innovation, and venture capital at State Farm, where he guided complex change initiatives and led the turnaround of
three subsidiaries—Venture Capital Units, Quanata, and HiRoad Assurance Company. Known for aligning strategy with execution, Mr. Kirkpatrick brings deep expertise in brand positioning, revenue growth, digital transformation, and enterprise change management.
At State Farm, Mr. Kirkpatrick helped modernize the organization’s approach to innovation by reshaping leadership capabilities, refining investment priorities, and improving the operating model. He championed a forward-leaning investment strategy designed to increase returns on new investments while reducing ongoing operating costs. In addition, he directed an innovation team that launched a new business unit and broadened product offerings for the digital economy, strengthening the company’s competitive standing in an evolving market.
Previously, Mr. Kirkpatrick was vice president of Strategy, Innovation, and Product at Esurance. Earlier in his career, he held management roles in technology and telecommunications with Amdocs and MobiPCS.
Mr. Kirkpatrick earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Indiana University and completed executive education in strategic management, sales management, and general management at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
