Guy Kaplinsky is a successful serial entrepreneur with in-depth knowledge and expertise in defense technology-related projects and international business. Guy began his career at Nissho Iwai Corporation and worked as an executive. In 2001, Guy followed his passion as an entrepreneur to establish his first startup. This global company facilitated
multi-million dollar government-related projects in over 15 countries.
Guy co-founded a second start-up IQP Corporation, which was an early innovator in the Internet of Things and concluded with a multi-million dollar M&A deal with GE Digital in 2017.
In 2018, Guy cofounded ASKA and developed the ASKA™ A5 drive and fly eVTOL (electric Vertical TakeOff and Landing) vehicle, a real flying car. ASKA™ A5 is the first flying car that can travel by road and air with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. The drive & fly eVTOL has a 250-mile flight range. The A5 has achieved Certificate of Authorization (COA) and Special Airworthiness Certification by the FAA. ASKA™ A5 is also the first flying car to start the type certification process with the FAA. The vehicle is progressing with flight testing and has completed over 500 miles of road testing. Target for commercialization is 2026, subject to certification.
Guy is a veteran and served in the Navy 1991-95 and in military reserves.
