Gregory Berkin is the Managing Director of Concours Ventures, a Silicon Valley boutique angel capital group focused on Social/Smart/Mobile/Cloud/3D applications for TV, Tablet, Internet, PC and Mobile markets. Greg is serial entrepreneur who founded several successful start-ups in Silicon Valley and New York. Mr. Berkin has been
an Apple software developer for over 30 years founding one of the first educational software development and publishing firms for the Apple Macintosh Computer in 1984. Greg Berkin joined Intel Corporation as Intel's video technology evangelist in 1995, leading the efforts of hundreds of independent software developers (ISVs), consumer electronics (CE) companies and Hollywood studios in the development and introduction of the DVD and Blu-ray formats around the world. Greg was recognized as "1 of the Top 21 Most Influential DVD Executives Worldwide" in the year 2000. Greg is also an award-winning filmmaker, director & producer who has produced documentaries, feature films and digital media for over 30 years. Mr. Berkin's work has screened at international film festivals including Sundance, Cannes, Las Vegas, San Jose, Carmel, etc. Greg is also Director of Film Angels on Linkedin.com and a member of AngelList & Family Angels. With a computer science degree from Potsdam and an MBA from Duke University, Greg mentors, consults and advises over a dozen Silicon Valley start-ups in early-stage growth, strategy, investment, IP, and development in all areas of high technology. Mr. Berkin is developing a next-generation ADSB data box for private planes and autos. Greg collects and preserves classic Italian vintage automobiles in San Jose, CA.
